Speaking to NationNewsTV, Agarwal said that her plan to pursue medicine was clear from the beginning and she was inspired by her parents, who are both doctors.

Agarwal’s love for physics was nurtured by her dedicated physics teacher at Aakash Institute, Faridabad, whom she credits as a “lucky charm” in her journey. She explained how the teacher’s supportive approach helped her stay focused and confident.
He said, “My physics teacher never scolded me; instead, he always encouraged me to do better, which always motivated me.” Agarwal also mentioned the important role of his father, who prepared short notes and mnemonics to aid him in memorization, which he admitted is not a common privilege for all candidates.
Challenges and exam hurdles
Agarwal openly discussed the challenges he faced during preparation, especially with biology, which required more memorization and did not come as naturally to him as physics. To deal with this, he adopted the strategy of studying biology in short, focused intervals to maintain attention and used mnemonics and stories to aid memorization.
She emphasised the importance of balancing studies with activities like watching Netflix, playing sports like table tennis and badminton, dancing and spending time with family, which helped her avoid fatigue. “Taking breaks to watch Netflix or play sports helped me refresh my mind and keep stress at bay,” she explained.
Addressing the psychological barriers faced by many NEET aspirants, she highlighted the fear and discouragement caused by last year’s tough exam pattern and tough competition.
“There was always a fear that a small mistake could cost me dearly, especially with such high cutoffs,” she admitted. However, she credited her family and teachers for helping her overcome these barriers: “Their constant support kept me grounded and gave me confidence,” the girl from Faridabad said.

NEET UG 2025 Exam Pattern
इस वर्ष की NEET परीक्षा में महत्वपूर्ण परिवर्तन हुए, जिनमें वैकल्पिक प्रश्नों को हटाना तथा समय सीमा को घटाकर तीन घंटे करना शामिल है। Aggarwal said the limited time had a psychological impact, slowing her down as she missed the buffer time. “The reduced time did slow me down a bit as I was used to getting a few extra minutes,” she admitted.
However, he appreciated the removal of optional questions, saying that it made all candidates face the same number of questions, thereby levelling the playing field by eliminating the luck factor associated with attempting select questions. “Removing optional questions made the exam more fair for everyone,” he said. Agarwal emphasised the importance of mock tests and coaching in preparing for such a challenging exam, pointing out that it helped him develop the time management skills and strategic thinking required to tackle tough questions. Coaching and mock tests taught me to manage time and stay calm under pressure,” he shared. Advice for prospective NEET aspirants The all-India rank holder advised juniors preparing for NEET to maintain an open dialogue with their families and teachers, as isolation and self-doubt can be detrimental during the preparation phase. “Never hesitate to talk to your family or teachers; sharing your doubts and fears makes the journey easier,” he emphasised.

He concluded by saying, “Prepare yourself mentally for any challenge, and remember that the support of your loved ones is your greatest strength.”
